MISHIMOTO RACING THERMOSTAT FOR HONDA CIVIC TYPE R FK8
The Mishimoto racing thermostat for the 2017+ Honda Civic Type R is designed to help your cooling system operate at peak efficiency, whether you’re cruising to your local car meet or tearing up the track. This thermostat begins to open 10°C earlier than the stock thermostat at 68°C (154.4°F) and is fully open 7°C earlier than stock at 83°C (181.4°F). That allows precious coolant to flow into the radiator and start shedding heat sooner. Couple this thermostat with the Mishimoto performance aluminum radiator and direct-fit oil cooler kit for a Civic Type R that runs as cool as it looks.
This thermostat will not improve the performance of a clogged, damaged, leaking, or under-equipped cooling system. Mishimoto recommends following your vehicle’s scheduled cooling system maintenance and installing a radiator that’s suitable for your vehicle’s needs.
