SPORT INSERT FOR HALDEX 1 GENERATION (VER. PUSH-IN) FOR AUDI VW SEAT SKODA
Please ensure you check which insert your Haldex is fitted with. There are two of them:
1. Push-in on a CirClip (this listing).
2. 17 mm HEX head (please see our other listings).
Mounting method
Installation is very easy and it takes as low as 1h. You only need to remove the Haldex controller, remove the old insert and install the new one.
Circlip insert: remove the controller form the main unit, remove the circlip, pry the old insert up (some force needed because of the o-ring that is holding tightly the insert), push in a new sport insert and secure it with a circlip. Now install the controller and enjoy better rear traction.
17 mm HEX insert: remove the controller form the main unit, unscrew the old insert up, screw in a new sport insert. Now install the controller and enjoy better rear traction.
We do recommend to use a new gasket between the controller and the Haldex unit (VAG 02D 525 589) when changing the Insert.
This will fit vehicles fitted with the first generation Haldex:
Audi Quattro: A3, S3, TT
Volkswagen 4-motion : Golf, Bora, Sharan, Beetle
Skoda: Octavia 4×4
Seat 4-motion: Alhambra, Leon, Toledo
