The Mercedes A35 Eventuri Turbo Tube has been developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path as compared to the stock tube. Managed to increase the internal volume as well as eliminating the ridged flexible section at the airbox side. By using a completely solid tube all the way from the intake to the turbo, the flow path is smoother and therefore airflow can remain more laminar. To account for engine movement, our A35 intake has a “floating” tube, which can move within the airbox. The shape of the carbon tube at the turbo end has been optimised using CFD to minimise turbulence. The connection to the turbo is achieved with an innovative silicon coupler that features an internal thermal separator between the carbon tube and the metal turbo housing. The multiple breather connectors at the back of the tube are taken care of with a CNC machined block which also provides a smooth internal surface for airflow within the tube.

The Audi C7 RS6/RS7 Eventuri intake sets a new benchmark for intake design on this platform. It was developed to achieve two objectives – 1) De-restrict the turbo inlet paths. 2) Maintain low inlet temperatures. The first objective was met by providing each turbo with a separate filter and Venturi stack in order to reduce drag and allow the turbos to work more efficiently. The second objective was met by enclosing the filters inside a carbon airbox and feeding them with an additional scoop added behind the front grill. The dyno tests were carried out showing an impressive gain of approximately 19hp and 17ft-lb of torque.
The 991 Turbo Eventuri intake system was developed through extensive real world testing with the aim of allowing the turbos to work more efficiently. By replacing the single stock airbox with individual patented Venturi filter housings, the turbos are able to spool and generate boost with less drag. As a result, the wastegate duty cycles are reduced resulting in peak boost at lower RPM and therefore performance is increased.
